Trump reinforces use of his ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy

Migrant families live in tents at the Movimiento Juventud 2000 shelter in Tijuana, Mexico, back in April 2022, when the U.S. border restrictions known as Title 42 and "Remain in Mexico" were still in effect.

The policy, which was created and implemented during the first Trump administration in 2019, resulted in tens of thousands of migrants waiting for extended periods in Mexico.
